NURSERY & PRESCHOOL

Sundays @ 10am for birth - 5 years

In our secure, safe, and clean Nursery (birth - 24 months) and Preschool (2 years - 5 years/pre-K) areas you'll find the most amazing moms, grandmas, and big sisters (all with approved background checks) who will love your children in a big way as they keep their attention with Bible stories and planned learning experiences. God expects parents to teach their children His Word. We are there to reinforce and re-engage your kids because it’s a big responsibility. We’re in it with you!

ELEMENTARY

CHILDREN'S WORSHIP:  Sundays @ 10am for Gr. K-5

Splash! You’ve been hit with a huge WAVE of fun in our fast-paced Children’s Worship experience! It’s more adventures on the other side of DESTINY ISLAND. They’re on their feet for worship and recreation or camped out for prayer and participatory small-group Bible teaching. The ISLAND-themed approach makes every event unique in capturing their attention for the values that count. We are partners with parents, supporting what you believe with one-on-one attention and focused group activities so your children can develop a growing circle of friendships and explore God's DESTINY for their lives!

What is Orange?

At Destiny on Sunday Mornings we use Orange Curriculum. This is an intentional curriculum that mixes the importance of what kids learn at church with what kids can apply at home. This is done for preschool and elementary ages through engaging and creative ways that kids can relate to on their level.

AWANA DETAILS

Q: What is AWANA?

A: AWANA is a fast-paced 60-minute children’s event for Ages 3-Gr. 5, where each age group rotates between adult-supervised activities: Team Games, Worship, and Bible Handbook Time. Every week has a different fun theme to engage the kids like SUPERHERO/DISNEY CHARACTER Night, Crazy Socks & Hats Night, Trivia Night, Balloon Night, & Team Color Night!

Q: How does my child get started?

A: Register online thru the Awana Registration page on this site or just show up at 5pm, take a couple of minutes to register in the lobby, and your child will be escorted to their group area. Please feel welcome to follow and watch your child’s activities if you want.

Q: What happens in my child’s group?

A: Your child will be introduced to new friends, receive a Starter Kit, and blend into the activities. Depending upon their age and grade level, your child will also be offered a vest or t-shirt. Kids are always encouraged and never pressured.

Q: Will my child learn more about the Bible?

A: YES!!! Beginning with the Starter Kit given to your child on the first visit, each child is challenged to complete daily and weekly short Bible learning and memorization projects that earn awards.

CUBBIES (Age 3-5)

Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word. Whether it’s the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their “Cubbies friends”, they simply love it. At Story Time each week, preschoolers learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so they will respect and trust Him for life. Each year of Cubbies will cover both Old Testament and New Testament Bible biographies in creative and fun games, crafts, and activities. Thirty-two lessons (including four special days) place special focus on what each story teaches us about God's character.

SPARKS (Gr. K-2)

Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. At the Sparks level, in addition to Bible verse memorization, the children begin to learn the basic structure of the Bible (e.g., how many books are in each testament, the order of the books). They also begin to learn what it means to share their faith and are encouraged to invite friends to club nights. Each handbook builds a foundation of biblical wisdom through memory verse drills, crafts, activities and review of key doctrine and Bible facts. The first handbook, HangGlider®, begins a sequential journey through the Bible, starting with Genesis and ending with Joshua. WingRunner® Handbook takes Sparkies on the next leg of the trip from Judges to the birth of Christ. SkyStormer™ Handbook brings the curriculum in for a landing, exploring Gods Word from the life of Jesus to Revelation. Before working in a handbook, all newcomers to Sparks will complete an Entrance Booklet (Flight 3:16) that centers on the gospel message of John 3:16.

T&T (Gr. 3-5)

T&T engages kids by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ’s grace. T&T students participate in a combined game time, do Bible-memorization and more in-depth Bible lessons each week with a particular emphasis on practical application. Through Bible and service projects in the Ultimate Adventure and Ultimate Challenge handbooks, T&T kids go deeper into scripture by exploring questions on the most relevant issues like:

•Why did God give us the Bible?

•Who is God?

•How does God want me to live my life?

•What do I need to know about my family?

•How can I grow spiritually?

•What is a good friend?

•What does God want me to know about the future?
